Hello 🌸🌷 happy springtime!
I've been feeling this seasonal transition strongly, especially as we come to mark 2 years since this pandemic that has transformed most of our lives in one way or the other. It’s been quite a ride, reflecting on just how much has changed.
I recently said to a friend that living in Sweden has made me more positive. “Living in Sweden” means the geographical location, and it also means the people, experiences, culture, context, constraints, choices, decisions e.t.c. And positive as in – more hopeful, grounded, light, expanded, grateful for small & big things.
Expansion is the biggest theme I keep reflecting on because expansion can happen for growth – letting in & release – letting go. Maybe I’m more easily able to access-express what was already within, which in a way explains why I wanted or needed a move in the first place.
I’ve been thinking about how places and people can shape us, and allow us to meet more of ourselves. It’s said that the people we meet, our friendships and our relationships hold a mirror to us. When you perceive what’s reflected, and it makes you uncomfortable, you start noting, and eventually, you can choose how to evolve or adapt.
I feel good about relationships that guide to meet truer versions of self, by encouraging starting inward and nurturing communities that facilitate self-expression.
I think it’s magical that we can experience so much transformation through where we go and who we meet. And it’s so special to observe yourself transcending and being, in ways you once aspired to. Maybe being more of yourself, almost learning from observing, and feeling the freedom or permission to be yourself.
I think it’s so easy to become jaded, feel stuck, and pessimistic, but being able to redefine containers of joy, reframe, and make changes in our lives allows us to return to a state of gratitude in and for the present. Remembering, believing, and trusting that we can live fulfilling lives. Sometimes that means doing something completely different and getting outside a comfort zone, but continuing to move towards & move into alignment with ourselves.
Reflecting on this post from when I was just moving, and seeing how those open questions have played out over the past 18 months, has also been quite magical to reflect on.
Thanks for reading 💓 Leave a comment or email me, love hearing your thoughts on these little/big posts :)
